Storytelling will be front and centre as Megan McKenna presents "Handing on Tradition, Sharing the Faith", hosted by Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St Mary's Hall, corner of Avenue 0 South and 20th Street West in Saskatoon.Sessions include:Elders Storytelling Circle 7:00 pm Friday, March 31;Handing on the Tradition from Elders to Youth 10:00 am Saturday, April 1;Creating Your Own Story (the youthful heart) 2:00 pm Saturday, April 1; andMeet Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patron of the Americas, 2:30 pm Sunday, April 2.Megan McKenna is an internationally recognized storyteller, theologian, spiritual writer and speaker, with extensive experience working with Indigenous communities across the Americas and around the world. The Storyteller holds a position of honor and authority in many Indigenous communities, binding generations together, keeping traditions and beliefs and practices of the people vital, and asking questions crucial to survival. The Storyteller passed on oral history, knowledge and wisdom, and how to keep the community acting with respect for the Creator and for one another. From Mourning to Dawn

From Mourning to Dawn, the diocesan grief support group for widows and widowers is hosting their spring session, beginning on March 28, 2017. Facilitators, who have experienced the loss of their marriage partner, engage with participants on an 8-week journey of transformation and healing, offering support and encouragement for bereaved spouses. This program is open to participants who have been widows/widowers between 2 months and 2 years. Sessions are held at the Catholic Pastoral Centre in the Cathedral of the Holy Family (123 Nelson Road) on 8 consecutive Tuesdays, beginning March 28, 2017 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. * Official Notification of the Annual General Meeting of the Millennium Pro-Life Cross Foundation to be held Sunday, March 26th, 2017 at Ss. Earth Hour Vigil

Earth Hour Vigil - The Roman Catholic-United Church Dialogue of Canada has prepared an ecumenical prayer service to help congregations, parishes, and other groups observe, in prayer and worship, the International Earth Hour which is taking place Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 8:30 pm. The resource, available in English or French, is entitled “Earth Hour Vigil” / Vigile « Une heure pour la Terre ». http://www.cccb.ca/site/images/stories/pdf/Earth_Hour_English.pdf Earth Hour stems from a grassroots movement that began in Sydney, Australia, in 2007. Its goal is to create greater awareness regarding energy consumption and to encourage communities to consider turning off their non-essential lights for one hour, between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The Earth Hour Vigil can be used flexibly on, or around, 25 March. Oremus

 Oremus is a new monthly worship and community night for young adults (over 19) held on the fourth Friday of each month at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, in the Queen of Peace Chapel. The next Oremus will be held 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, March 24. This is a time to be still, pray and intercede for the needs of each other, our community and the world. Includes testimonies and some table sharing, followed by a social time of beer, wine, refreshments, cards, board games and conversation. Living Everyday with Passion and Purpose

Living Everyday with Passion and Purpose:  Are you thriving or just surviving? Do you desire a clearer understanding of God’s plan for your life? “God has an incredible dream for you. Priest, Prophet, King - Men&#039;s Night

Priest Prophet King (PPK) men’s group will meet 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 at Holy Family Cathedral, 123 Nelson Road Saskatoon – open to all men. Prayers for Peace and Unity Gathering

* Prayers for Peace and Unity will be held Tuesday, March 21 at Civic Square in front of Saskatoon City Hall, gathering at 6:15 p.m., with a program at 6:30 p.m. This is a gathering of people from all faiths for a prayer of peace held on the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Support for Persecuted Christians: the 4th Annual Fundraiser for Persecuted Christians has been RESCHEDULED!  Oringinally scheduled for Sunday, March 19 it will now be held Sunday, April 30 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, featuring an East Indian buffet at 6 p.m., followed by a program and entertainment by guitarist Zeljko Bilandzic. All proceeds go to refugee sponsorship.Before  April 13, Tickets are $25, after April 13, Tickets are $30. A table of eight is $175. REVIVE Parish Mission

REVIVE Parish Mission will be held Saturday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 300 - 8th Ave. North, Martensville, SK. This retreat is designed to help the whole family prepare their hearts to celebrate Easter. Andre and Angele Regnier, co-founders of Catholic Christian Outreach will facilitate this day of talks, prayer and music. If God loves us why doesn't it feel that way? The Regniers will share some of the reasons we may not be experiencing the fullness of God's love. A children's retreat for kindergarten (starting fall 2017) to Grade 6 will be held adjacent to the adult retreat and hosted by Pure Witness Ministries. Film Screening: &quot;the Euthanasia Deception&quot;

* Film Screening of "The Euthanasia Deception" will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, March 16 at St. Philip Neri Parish, 1902 Munroe Ave., Saskatoon, with discussion to follow. Free admission. This video explores how the euthanasia experiment has gone wrong in Belgium and how legalization of euthanasia and assisted suicide affects vulnerable people.
