 THAT THEY MAY BE ONE: A Service of Celebration and Commissioning. Join in an inter-church service to celebrate a new relationship between Catholics and Evangelicals in Saskatoon. Tuesday, May 16 at 7pm at Holy Family Cathedral, 123 Nelson Rd, Saskatoon. Preacher: Dr. David Guretzki from Briercrest Seminary. Worship leaders: Very Rev. Evangelical-Catholic relations - public lecture

Justification and the Unity of the Churches: A lecture on Evangelical-Catholic relations by Dr. David Guretzki, Briercrest Seminary. Monday, May 15th at 7pm at Forest Grove Community Church, 502 Webster St, Saskatoon. Dr. Guretzki has served since 1993 as Professor of Systematic Theology at Briercrest College and Seminary in Caronport, SK. He is a member of the national Evangelical-Roman Catholic Dialogue and a board member and vice-president of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. Cakes in the City

 “L’Arche Saskatoon and Cheshire Homes are hosting Cakes in the City, an exciting fundraising event on Mother’s Day, May 14, from 1 to 4 pm at the Western Development Museum.  Come sample cakes made by some of Saskatoon’s top pastry chefs, and help raise funds to support individuals with disabilities.  Tickets are $10, $25 for a family.”

100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima - In honour of the 100th Anniversary of the first apparition Our Lady of Fatima on May 13 1917 to three small shepherd children in Portugal -- Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta -- in a little cova in Portugal, asking them to pray the rosary in devotion to her Immaculate Heart, in reparation for sin, for world peace and the salvation of souls. Our diocese will be celebrating the 100th anniversarywith a number of events April 30-May 13, 2017.Saturday, May 13, 2 p.m. – Mass at St. Mary’s Parish, 211 Avenue O South, Saskatoon, in honour of the anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady in Fatima 100 years ago, with Fr. New Evangelization Summit

“New Evangelization Summit” is coming to the Diocese of Saskatoon May 12-13. The Diocese of Saskatoon will be once again hosting the “New Evangelization Summit” for the third consecutive year. Hosted in Ottawa, this conference is live-streamed to over 40 host sites across North America. The vision of the New Evangelization Summit is that the whole Church would be united in the mission of evangelization, and trained to be able to fully live out their identity as Missionary Disciples, as Pope Francis has stated. All those involved in pastoral work and outreach – especially priests and members of parish councils – are invited to attend and be inspired by the words of great speakers such as Bishop Robert Barron, Sr. Miriam Heidland, Peter Herbeck, and many others. The Diocese of Saskatoon host site this year will be located at St. Therese Institute in Bruno, Saskatchewan.
